With the transfer window closed until January, Swansea City have mainly focused on securing new contracts for their star players. Right-back Josh Key is another player that Williams is trying to persuade to extend his stay in South Wales. Swansea City Key Achievements
Swansea City's only major English honour was the 2013 EFL Cup, beating League Two side Bradford City in the final at Wembley. They have won the second, third and fourth tiers at least once, with the club being three time champions in the Third Division. They are two time champions of the EFL Trophy and are 10 time winners of the Welsh Cup.

Alan Sheehan
Alan Sheehan is an Assistant Head Coach of Swansea City. He was the interim manager between the sacking of Michael Duff and the appointment of Williams. The former Bolton Wanderers midfielder has been at the club since June 2023 having previously coached at Southampton.
Ryan Harley
Ryan Harley is an Assistant Head Coach of Swansea City. A former Jacks player, he has worked with Luke Williams since Notts County's time in the National League and followed him to Swansea in January 2024.

Swansea City History
Swansea City were founded as Swansea Town AFC in 1912 as an attempt to bring football into a rugby-dominated area. They very quickly became a force in Welsh football, winning the cup in their first season in existence and played in the Southern League. They moved into the English Football League in 1920, joining the Third Division. They would be a lower-league club for most of its existence but under former Liverpool and Wales striker John Toshack, would rise through the divisions to play in the First Division for the first time in 1981. Their success would not last long though and soon enough plummeted back down the divisions.
Their move to the Liberty Stadium in 2005 coincided with the club's latest growth, becoming a staple of the top two divisions of English football. They would be promoted to the Premier League in 2011 under Brendan Rodgers, who would leave the following season to become Liverpool manager. They would win their first major honour in 2013 with the EFL Cup, beating fourth division side Bradford City in the final and qualified for the UEFA Europa League. They would be relegated in 2018 and have remained in the Championship since then.
