Preston North End vs Swansea City: Predictions, Lineups, Betting Tips, and Odds (5/11/25)

Our 3 Predictions for Preston North End vs Swansea City

  • 1st Prediction :  Preston North End To Win – 6/5
  • 2nd Prediction : Over 2.5 Goals Scored – 6/5
  • 3rd Prediction : Both Teams To Score – Yes – 6/5

First Prediction For Preston North End vs Swansea City – Preston North End To Win – 6/5

With 2 wins on the bounce Preston North End seem to have got over their recent blip in form and can now look ahead to a good November. At home they have only lost once, a recent 1-0 reverse to Birmingham City. They have won 4 of their 7 at Deepdale, and being hard to beat on home soil will put them in the driving seat in this match. Swansea City are struggling in 16th place, but only 5 points off of their hosts. Away they are an even split of 2 wins, draws, and losses, so a little more consistency will help their cause, but this could be a fruitless trip given the reasons highlighted here.

Second Prediction For Preston North End vs Swansea City – Over 2.5 Goals Scored – 6/5

Preston score regularly and at home they have managed 10 in 7 games, and in their last two wins they have scored 5 times, leading them to 6 points. This upturn in form means they should be good for at a brace of goals in this game. That said their Welsh opponents are quite miserly and have only shipped 4 goals on their travels, while scoring just one more than that. They do average exactly one goal a game, and if they get that here it will not only keep up that average but help push this bet over.

Third Prediction For Preston North End vs Swansea City – Both Teams To Score – Yes – 6/5

With precious points to play for both will be quite attack minded in this midweek clash. Swansea are a little goal shy with 13 in 13, the same amount they have conceded, and away from home it is 5 for and 4 against, so they have a tendency to play a bit more cautiously. They will be good for a goal though and that will put pressure on Preston. The home side here will want to add to their 10 goals in 7 home games, and also keep their momentum up to put pressure on those around them in the table.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results and Head to Head

A return to form at just the right time for Paul Heckingbottom’s Preston side. They had shown signs of fatigue but a couple of wins on the bounce has seen them back into the top 6, and a chance to kick on against an inconsistent Swansea City. Home form is always key, and with only 1 game lost so far at Deepdale, opposing teams will come knowing they are in for a tough day. Lewis Dobbin was back amongst the goals at the weekend and now has 3 to his name, along with 2 assists. His play will be crucial if they are to remain in contention going in to the busy weeks ahead. Thierry Small and Alfie Devine, both just 21, are key players too. Jordan Storey is perhaps their main player so far, and keeping the back line tight.

Swansea City are so far one of the teams that are a bit of a puzzle. They cannot string two wins together, but a bonus is they do not lose too many on the spin also. This does mean though that they are in a little bit of no mans land in the table, but will be more worried about negative results, so not to look over their shoulder too much. Alan Sheehan will want to turn draws into wins, but will maybe see a point in this game as a decent result. Ethan Galbraith is one of the first players on the gaffers team sheet, and just needs a goal to his output. Ben Cabango is helping keep a tight line at the back, and young Irish striker Adam Idah is getting more minutes and has 2 goals to match his 2 starts, albeit with 7 appearances from the bench.
