Wrexham Eye Premier League Winger

Wrexham are interested in signing Brentford winger Myles Peart-Harris, according to Wales Online.

The 22-year-old has one year remaining on his contract with the Bees, after the club triggered a 12-month contract extension.

It isn’t clear whether or not the Rad Dragons are eyeing a permanent move or a loan move for the winger after their promotion to the Championship, but they certainly have the budget to do either option.

Myles Peart-Harris’ Career So Far

The ex-Swansea City loanee enjoyed a good loan spell in Wales last season, picking up seven goal contributions in 29 Championship appearances for the Swans, before sustaining a back injury that ruled him out for the rest of the season in early March in a game against Preston North End.

He has also enjoyed a loan spell at Forest Green Rovers in the 2022/23 season, contributing 10 goals and assists in 47 League One appearances for the now National League outfit.

A loan spell to Portsmouth followed, where he scored twice in 12 games to help Pompey to the third-tier title in 2024.

Could a move to North-East Wales now follow for Peart-Harris, who at 22, will be thinking of moving away from the capital if he isn’t in Brentford’s Premier League plans.

Wrexham Not Messing Around

Following three consecutive promotions through the leagues, Phil Parkinson and his side are looking to prepare for their 2025/26 season in the second tier.

They’ve already been linked with plenty of household names, including the likes of Fulham’s Tom Cairney, West Ham United’s Aaron Cresswell and CF Montreal striker Sunusi Ibrahim, who they look close to signing.

With the constant financial backing from owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, Parkinson will have another big budget to improve his side, this time in order to make it Championship-worthy.

It’s clear the Welsh outfit aren’t playing around this summer, looking to bring in some big-hitters in order to survive in the second tier whilst also building for that fourth promotion.

Writer’s View

Although not one of the big stars that gets everyone talking, Peart-Harris could prove to be a reliable player at this level. After two good loan spells at League One level, he made the step up to the Championship last season effortlessly, providing some crucial moments for the Swans.

As mentioned above, with his age, he will be looking for a move away from the Gtech Community Stadium if he’s not in Thomas Frank’s plans, but whether that move be permanent or a loan deal is yet to be discovered. It’s a move that would work for all parties if it were to happen.
