Stockport have been in a slight slump as of recently, winning their first game in five matches when they beat Reading in their most recent game. They have been up against some really tough opposition, with an FA Cup third round loss to Premier League Crystal Palace and held firm to only lose 1-0. They have also claimed draws to Rotherham United and Birmingham City, but fell to losses against fellow League Two promotion winners Mansfield Town and Huddersfield Town. On the transfer front, Dave Challinor’s side have made some business, bringing in Micah Hamilton on loan from Middlesbrough but did also make an outgoing by sending midfielder Lewis Fiorini out to Dundee United.
Crawley Town are still deep in relegation trouble but did gain a slight bit of ground on Northampton Town in 20th place with their most recent game, claiming a well fought draw in a relegation six-pointer with Burton Albion.
