Our Three Predictions For Norwich City vs Brighton & Hove Albion

        • Prediction 1 –  Both Teams To Score – 4/6

        • Prediction 2 – Georgino Rutter To Score – 37/20

        • Prediction 3 – Brighton & Hove Albion To Win – 4/7

First Prediction For Norwich City vs Brighton & Hove Albion – Both Teams To Score – 4/6

Brighton have a fairly lengthy injury list and whilst the Canaries do have worries of their own, The Seagulls have issues in defence that can be exploited. Igor, Jack Hinshelwood and Ferdi Kadioglu are out for this game meaning Fabian Hurzeler has a very tricky decision to make of either starting his first-choice defence or taking a risk and using more inexperienced options. With Ante Crnac and Forson Amankwah, there are plenty of weapons Norwich have at their disposal and can exploit Brighton’s weaknesses. For Brighton, they will face a defence that at times have looked very shaky and with their Premier League quality, should make a breakthrough in this game.

Second Prediction For Norwich City vs Brighton & Hove Albion – Georginio Rutter To Score – 37/20

Brighton are extremely short in attack with Danny Welbeck, Joao Pedro and Evan Ferguson all injured for this contest. It means that Rutter, normally sitting behind the number nine, will have to come forward in this contest. With Kaoru Mitoma and Solly March on either wing, the former Leeds United man should get plenty of service and chances to score. Mitoma would be another great candidate to find the net, with his brilliant form in this competition with four goal contributions across five games.

Third Prediction For Norwich City vs Brighton & Hove Albion – Brighton & Hove Albion To Win – 4/7

On their day, Brighton have gone toe-to-toe with the best in the country, with their win over Liverpool in this competition two years ago coming to mind. They will have much of the same squad for this contest and whilst they have some major injury concerns, this should be a win for them. If Norwich do turn up, this could be a very tight contest and could certainly go to extra time. However, with City’s defensive frailties and Borja Sainz suspended for six games, the Sussex side could run away with this.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head

Norwich City do come into this contest on a bit of a hot streak with a four-game unbeaten run and wins in three of those. It does come with the caveat that those sides, Millwall, Coventry City, Queens Park Rangers and Luton Town are all below them in the Championship table. Their most recent game came against Frank Lampard’s side, leaving it very late with two goals from Forson Amankwah in added time to overturn The Sky Blues’ lead and secure three points at home. Their last loss came against Sunderland, playing the latter stages of that game with 10 men after Jose Cordoba was sent off for a second yellow card.

Brighton have drawn their last four games in a row, last losing in their derby game against Crystal Palace. They have held some of the Premier League’s best, including Arsenal and Aston Villa but have not won a game since late November against Bournemouth. They have more goals conceded per 90 than Norwich, and have scored fewer on average, with the caveat that City have played more games against more teams.

With Brighton becoming a top-flight fixture recently, the last contests between these sides came in Norwich’s seasons in the Premier League. Brighton have been the better team in those games, not losing in the last five games. Norwich last won against The Seagulls in 2017, just one of two wins since 2013 over Albion. There have also been five draws and three Brighton wins.
