Lincoln City, Doncaster and Swindon striker hunt – eight free agents they could still sign

Mitchell Curry

Curry would be a real wild card, but his age would be of benefit as he would be under the requirement for the salary cap, thus making him worth a punt. The 21-year-old came through the ranks at Middlesbrough and had loan spells with Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Harrogate Town and most recently, Gateshead. He scored twice in the Scottish Championship for Caley Thistle, then bagged just once for Gateshead.

He might not be the answer to a League One club’s immediate striker issues, but he would represent a roll of the dice perhaps worth taking.
