Four free agents Swindon Town boss could be looking at to solve his defensive crisis

Tom Miller

Mattythewhite – Own work

Miller became a free agent upon the sad demise of Bury having joined the Shakers in 2018 after a good spell with Carlisle United.

He failed to establish himself In Bury’s promotion push last term making only seven League Two outings, but he was a favourite at Carlisle, making eighty-seven outings for the Cumbrians.

Miller began his career at Norwich City before dropping into the National League in search of first-team football with Newport County and Lincoln City. At twenty-nine he is still just the right side of thirty and he’s also versatile, being able to operate at full-back as well as in the centre of defence.

He is a tough-tackling no-nonsense sort of character who could well be a good fit for a small squad.
