Bidace has not had much luck in terms of accuracy, with just half of his shots taken so far being on target and many of his efforts being from outside the box. However, he ranks up at the top of the division’s wingers with shots taken and the number of those that were put on target. Philogene has done well in getting opportunities to shoot on the left side of the penalty area and should be able to do the same. He faces a difficult test in Ryan Alebiosu, who has been in fine form against his opposing wingers but Bidace should be able to get past the 23-year-old a few times in this game.

Blackburn have had a tough time as of late at Ewood Park and their misfortune could continue with Ipswich finally breaking their scoring issues in emphatic fashion. Rovers are yet to win at home all season, with Norwich City winning in the last game in Lancashire, the Canaries joining Birmingham City and League One’s Bradford City in claiming wins against this matchup’s hosts. Nevertheless, both teams have done well to keep up their scoring rate, both averaging at least one goal per game, with Town having increased their average to 1.8 due to their win last week. Conceding goals have also been issues for both sides, with Ipswich only getting their first clean sheet of the season against Sheffield United, while Blackburn have two, in away game wins over Hull City and Watford.

Both George Hirst and Jaden Philogene got rest in the final stages of their win over the Blades and having a day extra rest could give them a decisive edge. Blackburn’s poor home form is a major concern for them heading into this game, albeit with a small sample size due to how early in the season it currently is. Ipswich have done well at avoiding losses so far this season but on paper with the quality of their attack they should be able to claim all three points in this match.

Blackburn Rovers have not had the start to the season they would have liked, and have six points to their name ahead of the weekend, which puts them in 16th place.
