Our Three Predictions For Fleetwood Town vs AFC Wimbledon

        • Prediction 1 –  Matty Stevens To Score – 11/4
        • Prediction 2 – Under 2.5 Goals Scored – 11/25
        • Prediction 3 – AFC Wimbledon To Win -7/5

First Prediction For Fleetwood Town vs AFC Wimbledon – Matty Stevens To Score – 11/4

The Dons’ top scorer bagged the crucial goal to seal their win over Salford City on Saturday and has been the standout striker in the league across recent weeks. His sixteen goals puts him at the top of the fourth division charts, one clear of Michael Cheek and will likely make the squad from the off at Fleetwood. With the supporting cast surrounding him, the 27-year-old will likely have plenty of chances to add to his tally for this season.

Second Prediction For Fleetwood Town vs AFC Wimbledon – Under 2.5 Goals Scored – 11/25

Wimbledon have been grinding out results as of late and only two of their matches in 2025 have had three or more goals in them. Johnnie Jackson’s side have also done brilliantly at limiting their opponents, only conceding an average of 0.67 goals per game. Fleetwood have had some tough results as of late and have now failed to score in their last two matches against Bromley and Tranmere Rovers. Whilst they definitely will have chances to get on the scoresheet, the defence of Wimbledon should be able to contain them. This match could be a low scoring affair.

Third Prediction For Fleetwood Town vs AFC Wimbledon – AFC Wimbledon To Win – 7/5

Walsall‘s vulnerability over the past few weeks has shown that the title race is still open and Wimbledon are the best-positioned team to catch The Saddlers as it stands. With the dominance they have shown having now lost a game so far this calendar year, they should be firm favourites for this contest. Pete Wild’s side do have the potential to cause a shock, having beat the league leaders at home in January but with the way The Dons defence has played all season, they may not get a look in to gain some points in this match.

Full Preview Of The Game: Last Results And Head-To-Head

Fleetwood Town have had a bit of a rocky start under Pete Wild but there are some signs of improvement for the Cod Army. They have moved themselves up to 14th place in the League Two table despite poor results in their last two games with a draw against strugglers Tranmere Rovers before losing to Bromley this weekend. They have though got some big results, including a 2-0 win over league leaders Walsall as well as seeing off Cheltenham Town. With two games in hand on seventh place Crewe Alexandra, two wins in those matches would put them just three points behind The Railwaymen and firmly in the hunt for a League Two play-off position.

AFC Wimbledon’s consistency has propelled them into second place heading into this fixture and a win could put them five points behind Walsall having played the same number of games. They beat Salford City in one of League Two’s early kickoffs on Saturday, with Matty Stevens scoring the decisive goal in South London. In the past five, they have also beaten Crewe and third-placed Bradford City, whilst also securing two draws, also against Crewe on the road and against Accrington Stanley. They are the only team in the division not to lose in 2025, with their unbeaten run extending to ten matches, having last lost to Chesterfield in their final match before Christmas.

Wimbledon have been the better team in this fixture’s recent history, with nine wins to Fleetwood’s six, whilst seven draws have been contested. The Dons are on a three-game unbeaten run and secured a win in the reverse fixture this season, with Josh Neufville scoring the decisive goal in the first half at Plough Lane.
