“Sacked In The Morning” Are These The Next League One/Two Managers To Get The Boot?

Jim Bentley (Rochdale)

The final name on this list is another League Two manager, coming in the form of Rochdale AFC’s Jim Bentley.

Bentley’s side has only managed five wins this season and sits rock bottom of the bottom tier. It looks like their destiny to lose the league status the club has held as they sit six points behind Hartlepool and like them, the teams above them have games in hand over them.

Only one team has scored fewer goals than the 26 goals which Rochdale have scored this season and that just makes their destiny all but even more certain as they sit with four defeats in their last five fixtures and have not recorded a win since the 10th of January, where they pulled off a shock win against promotion pushing Bradford City.

It took nine games for the side to record a win, as they beat Colchester United on their ninth try at the end of September. Only four wins since then and a poor return in front of goal is what leaves the side sitting at the bottom of the division with their fate all but sealed already.

Surely it will not be long before we see Rochdale make the drop down and Bentley’s time with the club come to a close.
