Bristol City hit eight, Brighton and Norwich hammered – The Biggest League One victories examined

Bristol City 8-2 Walsall

What a way to celebrate a title win; by thrashing a side 8-2 ahead of getting the trophy. The Robins had already secured passage to the Championship in May 2015 when the Saddlers visited on the final day of the season and they ensured a party atmosphere by rattling off eight goals.

Aden Flint hit a hat trick, Jay Emmanuel-Thomas bagged a brace as did Kieran Agard and Marlon Pack got on the scoresheet.

The Saddlers, undefeated in seven going into the game, were level at half time thanks to Jordy Hiwula’s double but were blown away in a stunning second period.
