Bradford City are looking to sell tickets for a dinner they’re having, celebrating their time in the Premier League.
Their official Twitter page has put out a promotional tweet announcing the attendance of former Bantam Dean Saunders at the upcoming Premier League Anniversary Dinner.
Saunders will be joined by Stuart McCall, Wayne Jacobs, David Wetherall and Jamie Lawrence as just some of the players that have confirmed their attendance. Manager Paul Jewell will also be there as they look back on happier times in the top flight.
55-year-old Saunders ended his career with the Bantams having previously played for Liverpool, Benfica and Aston Villa amongst others. More recently, he’s been in the news after having a jail sentence overturned after failing to comply with a roadside breath test and failing to provide a breath specimen.
That’s led to a number of Bantams fans looking to poke a bit of fun at their former striker, who scored just three league goals for the club. As usual, the football fans acerbic humour has shone through.
