Despite acquiring the services of prolific centre-forward Macauley Langstaff from Notts County earlier this week, Millwall are on the lookout for more attacking firepower, according to the latest reports.
Several clubs in the Championship had been keen to secure the services of Langstaff after he set League Two on fire last season, scoring 28 goals and recording six assists in 46 appearances in England’s fourth tier. Nevertheless, the Lions came out on top, having agreed to pay the Magpies a fee of £700,000 plus add-ons for the 27-year-old.
However, head coach Neil Harris is still looking for more depth in his forward department which may come as a result of interest from teams abroad in Dutchman Zian Flemming, the club’s top scorer from the previous campaign. Furthermore, only Rotherham United scored fewer goals than Millwall in 2023/24, so adding a few more strikers to the squad is potentially needed.
One frontman that the South London side have been linked with over these past few days is Austria Lustenau’s number ‘9’ Namory Cisse. Football Insider have revealed that the 21-year-old has sprung onto Millwall’s radar this summer as he has entered into the final 12 months of his contract with the Austrian second-tier club. Furthermore, the outlet are claiming that the Lions face competition from Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle for the player who boasts a market value of £300,000, as per Transfermarkt.
This news has emerged in the aftermath of Tom Bradshaw reportedly garnering interest from newly-promoted, yet filthy-rich League One side Wrexham, although manager Harris has stated that these rumours have “no substance” [quotes via Southwark News]:
“Tom’s going to be here. There’s been a lot of press around Tom but no substance whatsoever. So I’ll just make that very clear to you guys that all press elements seem to want to write something about Tom Bradshaw but there’s absolutely no substance whatsoever to it.”

Not much is known about Cisse and whether these transfer links with Millwall are true or not. The young striker made 29 appearances in all competitions for Lustenau last season in which he scored five goals and registered one assist. This was also his breakout campaign in professional football, although his club were relegated to the second division after accumulating merely 16 points in 32 matches.
Nevertheless, Harris may have seen something that impressed him. If the rumours are true, Cisse will have a choice of two clubs to pick from, but either way, he’ll have the opportunity to learn from two prolific former strikers in their day, albeit on two very different scales.
