Shrewsbury
Another League One team for the fourth choice and this time it comes in Shrewsbury Town. The Shrews currently sit eighth in League One, six points clear of Portsmouth and chasing the playoffs. It is worth noting that the club have a connection with Pompey, having an ex-Portsmouth player in their ranks now signing Aidan O’Brien in the summer before loaning him out to League Two Gillingham Town.
They are not a team known for clean sheets this year having only kept three in their previous six games and conceded four goals in those six fixtures. In total so far this season, they have only managed to keep nine clean sheets across all competitions, it is certainly something they need to improve upon, however of course the blame cannot be solely on the defence for a statistic such as this.
The side are another side on this list in need of a disciplined player having picked up 69 yellow cards as well as four red cards across all competitions this season. The cards again are coming from the defence with one player managing to pick up nine yellow cards this season as well as one red card. Another red card comes from their defence also, so perhaps bringing in Raggett could help bring some much needed discipline to the side.
