Writer Gabriel Sutton has suggested via his Twitter that Portsmouth defender Sean Raggett will be available in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Raggett has been one of the first names on the team sheet for Portsmouth this season, featuring in 29 games and even getting on the score sheet once for the club, the news may come as a shock to many fans of the club, however, many have also spoke of their frustrations with the player this season.
This past weekend, Andrew Moon of BBC Radio Solent Sport took to Twitter to defend Raggett, speaking of his partnership with new boy Ryley Towler who arrived from Championship side Bristol City in January.
Raggett and Towler have developed a solid partnership at the back for the South Coast club and Moon even suggested how big the defender’s part has been in helping the new boy settle in and adapt to life at Portsmouth so quickly.
The 29-year-old spoke out after the side’s frustrating goalless draw with Lincoln at the weekend as Dane Scarlett saw his goal disallowed as Portsmouth failed to put the game to bed, while the defender was adamant his side deserved maximum points from the game.
He would be a major coup for any club that can secure his signature in the summer, in 29 games he has featured in this season, he has kept 11 clean sheets (38%) and conceded 32 goals in those 29 games. His discipline is also very professional, having only picked up three yellow cards this season. Even more impressive is his low fouls committed statistic, with just 19 fouls committed this season.
With this mentioned, we take a look at five clubs that Raggett could be featuring for next season.
