Swindon, Tranmere and Mansfield – The Managers in the Frame

Graham Alexander

Some believe that Graham Alexander was harshly done by at Salford, having put them on course for a promotion push early in the season. His brand of football might not have pleased the purists, but he has had success with the Ammies and during his time at Scunthorpe. He would make a great appointment for at least two of the clubs on the list, Mansfield and Tranmere.

The one aspect that may hold him back is funding. Both Salford and Scunthorpe had decent budgets during his time with them, League One wasn’t as populated by big hitters during his time with the Iron. He might be an outside bet for all three roles, but he would certainly not be a bad shout for two of them.
