Free Agents Sunderland, Ipswich and League One Rivals Could Grab This Week

There’s less than a week to go until most teams start their competitive campaign, with some even in action this weekend in the Carabao Cup.

For many in League One and Two, much transfer business is yet to be complete and doubtless, not a single squad is considered complete by the manager. On the day when the transfer window usually closes, free agents will still be hawking their services to the highest bidder, likely facing the prospect of reduced wages and a drop down the levels.

At the beginning of the summer, players were being snapped up and time seem plentiful, but as we approach the opening weekend of the league season in ten days times, many players will be dropping demands and hoping for a chance to stay in the game. It’s a buyer’s market like never before, but those buyers have salary cap restrictions that mean they’re being careful.

For the savvy buyer, now is a great time to pounce and if your team needs a midfield general, an enforcer or a creator, then there are plenty still out there just waiting for a chance to show what they can do. Could one of these players be the answer to your club’s problems?
