Compatibility
What do we mean by compatibility? Allow me to explain.
‘She don’t dance no more’.
‘Where and when, Big R1, I’ll be there in ten’.
How many game sessions have you been through, looking for players or completing SBC’s and got sick of those lyrics spinning around in your head? I’ve woken up with ‘I had the perfect picture, It was all laid out for me’, reverberating in my dreams. The average FIFA players spend hours every week in the menus and yet is treated to a handful of songs, maybe three albums worth. Could you listen to three albums, on repeat for an entire year?
EA needs to make their game compatible with Spotify or another music streaming service and allow you to play your own tracks on the menu. If they must have their own playlist, drop the songs in amongst yours or during loading screens, but give us a chance to listen to something we like. Older players (last warning – Gary) prefer to listen to something like classic rock or punk, rather than the few tracks EA chose for them. Back in 2010, the menu music could be altered and changed, you could even edit music to be played when you scored. Something like this, adding compatible streaming services to the game, would surely enhance the player’s experience and feed into that need for identity and individuality.
