Bailey Wright to Sunderland

What have Sunderland lacked this season? Leaders? Goals? Purpose?
Whilst Wright won’t be able to help too much up top, he can certainly add some real value to Sunderland’s back line and whilst borrowing from Bristol City might seem beneath Sunderland of old, they should be hugely grateful for their loan of the 27-year-old.
Wright has played 24 times for Australia and has a mix of League One and Championship experience over here. He’s arguably now a Championship-quality centre half, but he knows the third tier too from his time at Preston.
This is a strong bit of business by the Black Cats. It’s not a headline maker, but it’s the sort of addition that makes them stronger as a unit. With a play-off push within their grasp, Bailey Wright can only make them better.
