Leeds United look set to permanently offload out-of-favour defender Rasmus Kristensen according to a report from Germany.
The Danish international has not played for the Elland Road side since 2023 as they were relegated from the Premier League and has been sent on two loans to European sides. Last season saw him head to Roma, whilst this campaign has seen him play for Eintracht Frankfurt instead of contributing to Daniel Farke’s side.
Eagles Make Move
According to Sky Sports Germany Journalist Florian Plettenberg, Leeds have agreed a deal in principle with Frankfurt to sell Kristensen for €6 million (£4.96 million) which could rise by a further two million euros should bonus clauses be met.
The Bundesliga side’s move is believed to be at a cut-price compared to The Whites’ valuation of the defender, with a clause in the loan deal between both parties giving Frankfurt an option to buy the player for between €10-12 million. (£8.26-9.92 million).
Whilst a deal has not yet been announced, it is believed it will be confirmed within the next few weeks, with the Danish international signing a four-year contract in the Rhineland.

Writer’s View
Leeds United and Rasmus Kristensen’s relationship has been non-existent for the past few years due to their Championship status so a permanent move away is best for both parties. Whilst it is a lower fee than the club would have hoped for, it gives them some good funds to invest in the next transfer window, which will be crucial for the club in securing their Premier League safety next season as The Whites close in on a return to the top flight. Leeds will need to invest in defensive reinforcements next season with Junior Firpo’s future still in the air and Joshua Guilavogui being hardly used since his arrival during an injury crisis at Elland Road.
