Former Bradford City Winger Secures Championship Switch

Sheffield Wednesday have announced the signing of 18-year-old winger Junior Donald Kamwa after a successful trial period.

The former Bradford City youth prospect, once tracked by Premier League clubs, has impressed during his time at Middlewood Road and earned his first professional contract with the Owls.

A Promising Start

Kamwa, known for his pace and trickery, showcased his abilities while covering for injuries in Sheffield Wednesday’s Under-21 squad. He first appeared in the Steel City Derby six weeks ago and has continued to make a strong impression, playing primarily on the left flank. His performances convinced the club to offer him a deal.

“I’m delighted, I’ve worked hard for it. I’ve been waiting to get my first professional contract, and it’s a proud day for me and my family. I think I bring something different to the team. I’m a direct winger, and I like to use tricks, beat my man, and create chances,” Kamwa told the club’s media team.

“Junior is a young player who’s been on trial with us for a few weeks. He’s an attacking player capable of playing off both flanks and adds to what we have at Under-21 level. We’re looking forward to working with him and seeing how he develops in the future,” Haslam said.
