4th Nicky Maynard (Mansfield Town) 15.23

Nicky Maynard was a big summer signing for the Stags, flown out to Portugal and infamously met at the airport by Caroline Radford in a nauseating reveal video. He was billed as a big part of what Mansfield wanted to achieve and whilst they’ve failed to mount their expected promotion challenge, Maynard has kept his end of the bargain.

His expected assists and goals tally almost perfectly with his actual output of 15. He won promotion from this level with Bury last season and although there’s no chance of this with Mansfield, he still looks every inch a player that belongs in the top six.
