Sunderland, Rotherham and Ipswich players amongst top five for expected xG and assists in L1

1st Ivan Toney (Peterborough) 25.89

The difference in class between Toney and the rest of the division has been evident since the very first kick. His expected goals and xG is eight ahead of Maguire, his actual return of 28 is nine ahead of the next highest, Oxford’s James Henry.

There’s no doubt the sort of money Peterborough turned down for Toney in the summer didn’t adequately cover his value to the club and double-digit millions will surely be coming their way at the end of this campaign.
