It is usually something that many supporters wait for with bated breath in the long summer months without football, but due to the well-documented troubles at the club, Bolton supporters have had to wait until October for the release of the club’s new kit for the 2019/20 campaign.
Manufactured by Leeds-based company Infinity Apparel, the new kit will receive its first outing in tonight’s League One clash against Blackpool at the University of Bolton Stadium. Wanderers carefully selected the company due to their commitment in adhering to stringent ethical, environmental and employment standards including safe working conditions, living wages and ensuring that they use no child labour in any part of the supply chain.
The Liverpool-based firm, Home Bargains, which has over five hundred stores in the UK, and five in Bolton, will have its logo on the front of Wanderers’ shirts for the campaign.
The kit features the club’s traditional colours of white and navy blue and will be embroidered with the slogan ‘Established 1877’ in reference to the club adopting its famous name one hundred and forty-two years ago.
The kit was produced in four weeks from briefing to production and will replace the generic white Hummel kit the Trotters have been wearing. It was not unlike any other club’s kit release, splitting fans opinion, with it not being everyone’s cup of tea; the sponsor’s logo a particular bone of contention.
However, having come so close to not having a club, many supporters soon took to social media to remind people they are lucky even to have a team to support, and that whatever they think of the shirt, that is the most important thing to consider.
Here is a selection of responses to the club’s announcement on Twitter.
Imagine having a meltdown about a shirt just weeks after your clubs saved from extinction. #BWFC Get a grip honestly we’re lucky we’ve got a shirt!

Sponsors are sponsors end of the day they bring money in but for what is a really nice shirt it's ruined by the home bargains logo on the front it makes it look cheap

Honestly some of the comments here are pathetic, I'm no Bolton fan but two months ago the club was on the verge of going out of business, it gets reduced by new owners and now you're complaining about the sponsors.
Should be grateful you still have a club to criticize!

So the club gets sponsored by a national company worth billions, is owned by the guy who together with Michael James, loaned millions to the club, to keep them alive and Bolton fans moan about it! ?

Excuse me, what on earth is that atrocity?

Proper fans reply ?
