David Fox

Fox was a near ever-present for Plymouth Argyle last season making forty-three League One appearances. His form was good enough to be offered a new deal by the Pilgrims at the end of a bitterly disappointing campaign that saw them relegated to League Two, but he decided to reject the contract and try his luck at finding a club closer to his families base in the North-West of England and left Home Park.
He was on-trial at National League Barrow in the summer, but a deal never materialised and speaking to the Plymouth Live recently, Fox indicated he’d turned down several offers in pre-season due to similar geographical issues he faced in the South-West.
At thirty-five, would Fox put geography aside and sign a short-term contract with Oxford to provide cover and play in the EFL Trophy? It certainly might be worth Karl Robinson asking the former Blackpool, Norwich and Colchester man.
