Josh Koroma has joined Huddersfield Town from National League champions Leyton Orient for an undisclosed fee.
The twenty-year-old has signed a three-year deal with the option of a further year’s extension.
The Brisbane Road Academy product has already made ninety-seven senior appearances for the O’s scoring on twenty occasions and is rated very highly by the East London club.
The youngster signed an improved two-year contract in the summer of 2018 and played an influential role in the clubs recent promotion back to the EFL scoring eleven goals in thirty-nine outings in their National League title success.
A host of clubs had been linked with the exciting prospect including Sunderland and Reading and reports earlier this week claimed Middlesborough were close to landing the forward.
However, It was Huddersfield who won the race for his signature and Leyton Orient supporters soon took to social media to explain to Huddersfield fans what an excellent and exciting player they had signed.
Most Terriers thought the signing was one for the future, but some Orient fans felt Koroma would soon be pushing for a first-team place in the Championship.
Here is a selection of responses to the news by Orient fans predicting a bright future for their departing star.
Trust me, this kid is pure class. Play him in the 10 role and he’ll create the chances you guys struggled to create last season. He’s got 2 good feet, explosive pace, strong, balanced – he’ll do well for you.
I’ll be keeping a look out for him this season. Best of luck 👍🏻
