Swansea City forward Liam Cullen has revealed that celebrity investor Snoop Dogg is expected to attend the Swans’ Championship meeting with Wrexham in December, marking the rapper’s first visit to the Swansea.com Stadium since becoming a shareholder.
The 53-year-old music icon purchased a minority stake in the club in July and has already been heavily involved in off-field promotion, including fronting the launch of this season’s home kit.
His investment forms part of Swansea’s growing global profile, alongside fellow backer Luka Modrić, who joined the ownership group earlier this year.
Cullen reveals Snoop’s expected visit
Speaking on the BBC’s Feast of Football podcast, Cullen confirmed that Snoop Dogg’s first appearance at a game could come when the Swans face Wrexham under the lights on Friday, December 19, a match set to be broadcast live and billed as a high-profile meeting between two clubs with famous owners.
“I’ve not seen him yet,” Cullen said. “I think he’s actually coming over for the Wrexham game. That’s what I’ve heard. So I’m looking forward to see him.”
The 25-year-old striker, currently away on international duty with Wales, recently returned to Swansea’s starting lineup in the 3-1 defeat to Leicester City. After limited minutes earlier in the season, Cullen hopes to use the next run of games to re-establish himself in Sergej Jakirović’s plans.

Investment raises expectations
Swansea endured a busy summer window, signing 12 players and reshaping their squad after a difficult 2024/25 campaign. Cullen says the arrival of new investors such as Snoop Dogg and Modrić has naturally lifted standards and placed higher expectations on the playing group.
“With the new investors in Snoop Dogg and Luka Modrić, it adds a few more eyes on the club, and with the investment there’s a higher expectation now, which is good for us,” he said. “It’s a good thing to have the expectation of going and needing to do well.”
Snoop Dogg’s growing connection
Snoop’s son, Cordell C. Broadus, has already visited SA1, watching the 1-1 draw with Watford earlier in the campaign. During that trip, he entered the dressing room and passed on a message from his father, who promised to deliver his own motivational speech on a future visit.
“I can’t wait to get out there and give ’em some of my pep talk,” the rapper said at the time.
Writer’s View
Snoop Dogg’s involvement continues to shine a unique spotlight on Swansea City, and confirmation of his attendance for December’s Wrexham clash adds another layer of intrigue to an already high-profile fixture.
For the players, it underlines how much attention the club now commands under its new investors. Cullen’s comments reflect the mood within the squad, embracing expectation rather than shying away from it. I
If Swansea can channel that energy on the pitch, the Wrexham game could become both a showcase and a statement of intent for a club with fresh ambition and global visibility.
