Lincoln City manager Michael Skubala has delivered encouraging news on several injured players as the Imps prepare to face Exeter City this weekend at the LNER Stadium.
While the squad has been relatively fortunate with injuries so far this season, four names remain on the sidelines, with updates now provided on each of them.
Youngsters Nearing a Return
Oisin Gallagher, who has missed the campaign to date, has stepped up his recovery and is close to a return to training. Fellow youngster Charlie Parks is also progressing after his own recent setback.
“Oisin is back on the grass this week. He’s training with the team, so he’s into nearly full training,” confirmed Skubala in his pre-match press conference. “(Charlie) Parks is coming back next week. So, the two young lads, they’ve been pushing and they’ll be with us in a couple of weeks’ time.”
Gallagher, 20, is highly regarded by the Imps and has been on the fringes of the first-team squad since arriving from Derby County’s youth ranks. Parks, another emerging talent, has been involved in cup squads this season before injury halted his progress.

First-Team Duo Making Progress
Midfielder Dom Jefferies and attacker Jack Moylan have been longer-term concerns, but both are now moving towards fitness. Jefferies underwent surgery earlier this year, while Moylan suffered a serious setback in the League Cup tie against Harrogate Town.
“Dom Jefferies is on track, likely to be end of October,” Skubala said. “Jack Moylan is a bit further, but they’re both in the gym with no aids and running. Hopefully Dom Jefferies will be into team training in two to three weeks’ time, ready for selection hopefully come end of October, which is great news.”
Jefferies, 23, joined from Gillingham in 2024 and was a consistent performer last term, making 43 appearances and scoring three goals. Moylan, who signed from Shelbourne, has endured a difficult start to life in England due to injuries but still managed 57 appearances and 10 goals across all competitions.
Writer’s View
Skubala’s update provides much-needed clarity on Lincoln’s injury situation and offers supporters encouragement that reinforcements are close. With Gallagher and Parks back on the grass, and Jefferies aiming for a late-October return, the Imps could soon enjoy greater depth at a crucial stage of the season.
Moylan remains a longer-term project, but his recovery will be equally important as Lincoln look to maintain their promotion push. Having avoided a major injury crisis so far, the squad looks well placed to cope with the demands of the coming weeks.
