Kevin Nisbet could be set for an Aberdeen reunion with the Scottish side in talks with Millwall for the forward.
The 28-year-old was loaned out to the Granite City last season with opportunities in South London limited and was a big success with 14 goals in 38 appearances for the club as they won the Scottish Cup for the first time since 1990. He arrived at the Den from Hibernian in 2023 and has played 34 times for the Lions.
Dons Return For Nisbet
According to a report from Sky Sports News’ Anthony Joseph, Aberdeen have entered talks with Millwall to sign Nisbet, who is behind Josh Coburn and Mihailo Ivanovic in the pecking order under Alex Neil at The Den. No agreement has been reached between the two parties as of yet.
A potential return for the former Hibernian man to return to Pittodrie was mooted over the summer, with Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin not ruling out a potential permanent move to sign Nisbet this window. Speaking to the media, Thelin said about a possible deal: (Quotes via Daily Record):
“The way we are working, there can be changes in and out. We have to think about Aberdeen Football Club in the first way then think about individuals and getting game time.
“We will see if we can find something more that can strengthen us.
“If that’s the case they maybe, we’ll see.”
Aberdeen have to fight on five fronts this season on top of the league and domestic cup competitions after qualifying for the UEFA Conference League, their second time in the third tier of European football.

Writers’ View
Kevin Nisbet looked brilliant at Aberdeen last season so a deal between the Dons and Millwall makes perfect sense. His chances of first-team football in the Championship are likely limited, but could be handed a major boost if reports are to be believed about Mihailo Ivanovic being targeted by Leicester City. However, with that unlikely unless the Foxes cough up £12 million, Nisbet will be free to head back to Scotland and continue his great relationship with Jimmy Thelin at Pittodrie.
