Blackburn Rovers Contract News Emerges

Blackburn Rovers winger Tyrhys Dolan is set to enter the final months of his contract, with the club still awaiting clarity on his future.

The 23-year-old has not signed a new deal at Ewood Park, and negotiations have been ongoing for the past 18 months. However, according to Rudy Gestede, Blackburn will not have an answer regarding Dolan’s future until the summer.

Summer Decision for Dolan as Clubs Watch On

Dolan’s current contract expires at the end of the season, and Gestede admitted that while a new deal has not been ruled out, there is no clear resolution yet. “Tyrhys has had a very good season. He’s a young, exciting player, and he will attract attention from other clubs,” Gestede told *The Lancashire Telegraph*. “So it will be a discussion with Tyrhys if it’s not ongoing already, and we’ll assess it in the summer.”

Gestede acknowledged that there will likely be a number of suitors looking to sign Dolan once he becomes a free agent. However, the winger’s future will ultimately depend on his ambitions and whether he chooses to remain at Blackburn or pursue a new challenge elsewhere. “Does he want to take his chance to be out of contract and go somewhere else?” Gestede said. “There are some things that we can provide as a club, but there are also different parameters and conditions that we cannot offer.”

Despite the uncertainty, Gestede confirmed that he had spoken to Dolan, who expressed contentment at the club but stressed the need for further discussions with his agent. “Nothing has been signed yet,” Gestede continued. “We need to find the right way to address the situation. We will see after the season where he wants to be and what’s his ambition for the rest of his career.”

Writer’s View

Dolan’s situation is one to watch closely as the season progresses. With his contract running out in the summer, Blackburn Rovers must act quickly if they are to retain one of their brightest young talents. If no resolution is reached before the season’s end, Dolan could be a highly sought-after free agent, making it even more crucial for the club to decide where they stand in his future.
