Chesterfield are determined to extend their winning run to four matches as they prepare to host Harrogate Town on Saturday.
After a turbulent spell that saw them lose four consecutive games, the Spireites have regained form and are now within reach of the play-off spots. Currently sitting in the top half of the table, Chesterfield still have a game in hand and are looking to capitalise on their momentum.
The coming month could prove pivotal for their campaign, with five of their next seven fixtures taking place at the SMH Group Stadium. A strong run at home could be the difference between mid-table obscurity and a play-off push.
Chesterfield’s Game Plan for Harrogate
Assistant manager Danny Webb has made it clear that Chesterfield will take an aggressive approach against Harrogate.
“We have got to go into Harrogate and attack it full on like Paul Cook teams do,” Webb said. “Let’s enjoy the week’s training, there is going to be a real positive vibe around the club and the town. Let’s not fall flat on Saturday, let’s give the eight or nine thousand something to sing about.”
Harrogate, who edged out Chesterfield 2-1 in the reverse fixture earlier this season, are battling near the foot of the table. However, they have won three of their last six matches, making them a potentially tricky opponent.
Despite the confidence surrounding Chesterfield’s resurgence, injury concerns remain. Ryheem Sheckleford will be assessed after being forced off early in the recent clash against Notts County. Meanwhile, Will Grigg, Kyle McFadzean and Harvey Araujo are nearing returns but may not be ready in time for Saturday. Jack Sparkes, however, is sidelined for at least a month with a knee injury.
With play-off ambitions reignited Chesterfield must deliver a performance worthy of their home support and take advantage of their favourable run-in.

Writer’s View
Chesterfield’s recent turnaround has put them back in contention for a play-off spot, but they cannot afford any slip-ups. Their upcoming home fixtures will be crucial, and a win against Harrogate would set the tone for the crucial weeks ahead.
With Paul Cook’s attacking philosophy and a squad beginning to regain confidence, the Spireites have a real opportunity to make a late-season surge. However, defensive discipline will be just as vital as their attacking intent if they are to maintain their upward trajectory.
