Hull City youngster Jaedyn Chibanga has joined North Ferriby on a one-month loan deal, following his spell at Grimsby Borough.
The 19-year-old, who made 16 appearances for Grimsby Borough, will now take on a new challenge with North Ferriby in the Northern Premier League East as he looks to gain further first-team experience.
Hull City Youth Strategy
Chibanga’s move is part of Hull City’s strategy to continue developing their young talents. The club’s Lead Professional Development Phase Coach, Conor Sellars, expressed his delight at seeing Chibanga move on loan to a new club, noting the value of his previous experience at Grimsby Borough.
“We’re delighted to see Jaedyn joining North Ferriby. He gained valuable experience at Grimsby Borough and we appreciate them for providing him with that opportunity. Now, under Chris Bolder’s guidance, Jaedyn has the chance to further develop, and we wish him a successful loan spell for everyone involved,” said Sellars.

Chibanga’s Progress and Pathway at Hull City
Chibanga, who joined Hull City’s academy at Under-13 level, was handed his first professional contract in July, along with teammates Paul Iggulden and George Wilson. The Doncaster-born winger has yet to make his first-team debut but has been a regular for the U18s and U23s, progressing steadily through the ranks. His loan spell at North Ferriby offers him a valuable opportunity to experience senior football and further his development outside of Hull’s academy setup.
Hull City has provided a solid pathway into senior football for young players in recent years, with the likes of Jacob Greaves, Matty Jacob, Keane Lewis-Potter, and Brandon Fleming all earning first-team opportunities. Chibanga will be hoping to follow in their footsteps and make his mark in the senior squad down the line.
What’s Next for Jaedyn Chibanga?
Chibanga will be keen to make a positive impact at North Ferriby during his one-month loan spell. With regular game time on the horizon, this could be an important period in his development. Hull City will no doubt be keeping a close eye on his progress in non-league football, assessing how he handles the challenge and whether he can continue his upward trajectory.
