Plymouth Argyle are still open for a January loan move for summer transfer target Jayden Danns according to reports.
The Liverpool youngster, who was part of the squad that won the EFL Cup final last season, has yet to feature for The Reds this season due to fitness issues but has recently returned to training as the 19-time champions side seek to extend their advantage at the top of the Premier League.
Pilgrims Eye Half-Season Loan
According to reports from football journalist Alan Nixon, Wayne Rooney’s men could return for their failed summer target in January. He stated that Reds boss Arne Slot ‘could’ be open to letting him out on loan for regular game time.
The son of former Bolton Wanderers midfielder and current Tranmere Rovers assistant manager Neil Danns, The 18-year-old has already etched his name into Liverpool folklore due to his contributions in winning the EFL Cup and later appearances with the first team. He had recently signed a new deal at Anfield in March 2024 and has scored twice in five senior appearances.
A move away from Merseyside would be his first-ever departure from the club and Argyle seem to still want their target as they look to keep themselves in the Championship after their promotion last year.

On paper, this would be a good move for Argyle as they look to build their attacking options further and Jayden Danns does seem like he is in need of some regular playing time. If this move is a goer, it all depends on Liverpool’s injury situation. Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa are frequently on the physio’s bench and it does often leave their options depleted up front. Should Darwin Nunez or Cody Gakpo also face a spell on the sidelines, Danns may stay at Anfield to be a cover option.
