Derby County And Hull City Yet To Make Bid For £500K Gem

St Johnstone are yet to receive an offer for striker Adamah Sidibeh despite rumours linking him with clubs such as Derby County, Middlesbrough and Hull City, according to the latest reports.

Football Insider revealed at the end of May that both Derby County and Boro were keeping tabs on the Gambian centre-forward heading into the summer transfer window, while journalist Alan Nixon, via Football League World, claimed that Hull were also in the running for his signature. Furthermore, Football Insider reported that the Scottish outfit had set a £500,000 valuation on the rising star’s head as he still has two years remaining on his contract at McDiarmid Park following his arrival from Warrington Rylands in the eighth tier of English football during the recent winter window.

Hull City Could Lose Key Figure This Summer Amidst Premier League Interest

The 25-year-old had a solid season in Scotland despite the club’s struggles on the pitch. St. Johnstone survived on the final day of the 2023/24 campaign with a dramatic 2-1 victory away at Motherwell in which Sidibeh scored the winning goal for Craig Levein’s side to keep them in the Scottish Premiership.

Over the course of the season, the frontman bagged five goals in merely 15 appearances and even earned a call-up to the Gambia national team for the first time ever, finding the net in his debut at the weekend against Seychelles in a 5-1 win.

With his impressive displays in recent weeks, Sidibeh has garnered interest from teams in England’s second tier. However, the Dundee Courier have released a report stating that St. Johnstone have not received any offers for the striker.

Sidibeh’s rise to prominence has been both meteoric and inspiring. Heading into the new year, the number ‘9’ was playing four divisions below England’s League Two, whereas now he is plying his trade in the top tier of Scotland and has already made his national team debut.

Additionally, the story could continue if Derby County, Middlesbrough or Hull City come out on top in the race for his services, but for now, St Johnstone haven’t received any bids for Sidibeh, although this could change once the transfer window opens.
