Top Five Goals From Cowley Era Lincoln City

Shay McCartan v Swindon

Shay McCartan joined the Imps on loan for a season and gave fans a goal for the ages. They were already a man down and a goal up against the Robins when a hopeful ball forward from Josh Vickers was nodded out to McCartan, seemingly in an innocuous position with little danger. The Irish attacker proved otherwise though, with an instinctive volley that left the keeper no chance. Sadly, the Imps went down to nine men on 55 minutes, and held out until deep into injury time, before Michael Doughty snatched a leveller.

McCartan’s goal really deserved to win any game of football.
