Eiran Cashin
It would be unfair not to include this man in the five. He’s a centre back I am a massive fan of. They sped up his development in the season Derby struggled for players and had a transfer embargo. Although it wasn’t the best of situations to play in, he certainly didn’t look out of place.
He’s not the biggest of defenders, but his intelligence and understanding has turned him into what I believe is one of the best defenders in League One. He has a 76% passing accuracy and finds himself in the top 3 for interceptions per 90.
Finally, his play style and game would suit a team like Brentford. Although he primarily plays in a 4 back, I believe we could see the best of Eiran in a 3/5 back formation.
