Tranmere Looking To Impress?
Micky Mellon’s Tranmere will be looking to bounce back after they fell short in a 2-0 defeat away from home at Doncaster on Tuesday night. This caused Micky Mellon’s future at the club to be plunged into doubt, with Rovers only winning three of their last 18 games.

Salfords good run of form, Can they keep it up?
Salford come into this match winning 3 out of their last 5 games, with 1 draw and 1 loss. This will no doubt give the visitors the edge on confidence, but Tranmere have a tendency to bounce back very quickly.
The Stadium
Saturdays fixture will be played at Prenton Park, Home of Tranmere Rovers. Ticket sales at the time of writing are 4,344, with the Super White Army looking to back their team to a much needed three points.
Micky Mellon’s Thoughts
Mellon previewed the game to the club’s official website:
“We’re always disappointed that we’re not winning games. Saturday at Stockport we played well and felt like we deserved something out of it. On Tuesday […against Doncaster] we never looked like ourselves and lacked the imagination needed to open people up. I expect us to be more of ourselves.”
“Everyone is very tight and there’s nothing much that determines who wins the games. We’re disappointed because we saw the opportunity to close that gap. We can’t dwell on it because we have to move on now. We have to put it into training and do the things that we do well.”
“You’ve got to remember what it takes to put a performance in. We will expect to do that on the weekend and keep trying to win games.”
League Positions
Salford sit in fifth place, five points ahead of Mansfield and six points clear of the non-promotion zone. Tranmere sit rather disappointingly in 15th on 38 points.
