Bristol City have had two bids rejected for AFC Wimbledon’s defender Jack Currie according to Footy Insider.
Jack is currently under contract at League Two side AFC Wimbledon. The 21-year-old left-back has featured 32 times in all competitions contributing to three goals in that time. He is being linked to Championship side Bristol City who are looking to try and lure him to Ashton Gate.
Bristol City have had an difficult season as they sit 17th in the Championship seven points from safety, with the Robins eyeing reinforcements to help move them up the table.
Currie joined Wimbledon at a young age having come through the ranks of the Dons youth set up the left back has had loan spells at Leatherhead, Maidstone United and Eastbourne before breaking into the Wimbledon first team this year. In the 2021/2022 season he featured 33 times in the National League South side Eastbourne Borough.

I think Jack has the talent to go on to be a top player from what he has shown in the league this year, however I feel the championship may be a big step up for him. Bristol City are well known for their development of talent with the likes of Alex Scott, Antoine Semenyo, Adam Webster, and Lloyd Kelly to name a few. So this would be the right place for Jack to be able to develop properly.
This would be a massive blow for Wimbledon as Currie has been their starting left back for the majority of the season and has been excelling leading to gain the interest from big clubs.
