Colchester United have rejected a ‘substantial bid’ for defender Junior Tchamadeu from an unnamed Championship club according to footy insider.
Junior Tchamadeu is a 19-year-old right back who is currently contracted to League Two side Colchester United. The full back has featured 27 times for the League Two outfit contributing to five goals in that time. In doing so he has made the right wing back position his own. This has led to an unnamed Championship club lodging a bid for him.
Junior joined Colchester in the summer of 2020 from Charlton Athletic and went straight into their academy, later on in the January of that season he was promoted to the first team and has not looked back since. Last season he featured 26 times contributing to a goal in those games.
Colchester currently sit 17th in League Two nine points above the relegation zone, after an upturn in recent form after some January investment due to a slow start to the season. The Essex side will be looking to push up the table and keeping ahold off Junior can help them do so.

Writers view…
After watching Junior play twice against Swindon, I have to say he has a very bright future, the right-wing-back bombed up and down the right flank constantly all game and that can be shown from his heat map and goal contributions this season.
This would be a big loss for Colchester as he has now become a regular in their side and arguably one of their better players. It is not surprising to see bigger clubs coming for his signature and I think he is ready for the move.
Colchester fans, What do you think he is worth?
