Charlton shot-stopper Jojo Wollacot is attracting interest from Championship clubs this is according to the South London Press.
Wollacott, 26, is currently contracted to League One Charlton Athletic. He has featured 20 times for the Addicks helping them keep five clean sheets in that time. However, the keeper is now being linked with a move to the championship due to his fine start to the season.
Jojo followed former manager Ben Garner to Charlton in the summer of 2022 from League Two side Swindon Town, where he featured 37 times as their number one for a majority of the season. As well as this he has 11 caps for the country Ghana. He was cruelty robbed of his chance to join up with his international side in the World Cup by a serious injury.
Charlton currently sit 15th in League One, after some improvement under new coach Dean Holden. Their new manager is still looking to assess the squad, with a decision on whether Jojo will be number one going into the latter half of the season.
Writer’s view…
In my opinion in think that Jojo can go on and shine for a championship club, he has proved that he is a very good shot-stopper, but his all-round game could be what does let him down due to his ability to command his area being slightly poor from watching him. Jojo has a good experience at the international level helping Ghana achieve world cup qualification.
