What Can Crawley Town Expect From Ben Gladwin?

Crawley Town have completed the signing of midfielder Ben Gladwin from League Two side Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee.

On Thursday afternoon, it was exclusively reported by the Real EFL that Swindon Town midfielder Ben Gladwin was linking up with fellow manager Scott Lindsey at Crawley Town. Crawley currently sit 21st in League Two sitting 2 points above the relegation zone.

Ben began his career at Reading before having his first spell at Swindon where he would feature 47 times, he then moved onto QPR having loan periods at Bristol City and Swindon. He then moved to Blackburn Rovers but only featured five times in three years before moving to MK Dons where he spent a year featuring 35 times scoring 3 goals. He then returned back to Swindon where he has featured 53 times in the last two seasons scoring six goals.

Writer’s view….

I think that Ben Gladwin would be a big signing for Crawley he will add some much-needed quality into their ranks and link up with manager Scott Lindsey who he has a good relationship. Ben is a quality player on his day but for me needs to show some more consistency, he has been slightly careless and slow in possession in games this year. He is a natural leader and will be vocal when he does not like what is happening.

This deal will be beneficial for both parties as Swindon will get some money from the deal and Crawley will have some much-needed depth into their ranks.
