Harrogate Town Look To Land Premier League Youngster

18-year-old Max Dean could be making a permanent switch to League Two outfit Harrogate Town, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post

Town were interested in taking the forward on a season long loan but were unable to work out a deal, and the player continued to ply his trade with Leeds development squad for the first half of the season.

With his deal set to expire at the end of this campaign, it is thought Harrogate could make their move for their target in the coming weeks.

Our Verdict

Dean has been impressive for Leeds in the PL2 and the EFL Trophy, netting four goals in six appearances for the club, as well as playing at under 21 level at a young age. While he has impressed at Elland Road at a youth level, it remains to be seen whether he can find a path into the first team, and with little time on his contract, he could be tired of waiting and make the step to the Football League.

An exciting prospect from a team that is praised for its academy setup and has seen many young talents move through their ranks. The youngster is more than ready for the step up to the senior level at the rate he is progressing currently and with the side currently sitting 19th in League Two and in need of some reinforcements this window, it could be seen that Simon Weaver puts him straight into the first team.

Harrogate fans, is Max Dean enough to keep the club out of danger?
