Yesterday evening, Ipswich Town confirmed the signing of forward Nathan Broadhead who left Premier League side Everton for an “undisclosed fee” believed to be in the region of £1.5 million.
Broadhead is familiar with League One after spending last season on-loan at promoted Sunderland scoring 10 goals in 20 games. He looks to be an excellent addition to the promotion-chasing Tractor Boys who targeted his natural striking position this window.
The 24-year-old can also operate on both flanks giving Town added options if needed. His versatility is one of his many qualities along with his positioning and powerful finishing.
Ipswich Town are currently 3rd in League One, two points behind 2nd place Sheffield Wednesday and seven behind the leaders Plymouth Argyle, although they have played one game less than the leaders.
Best of luck for the future, Nathan! 🔵

The Welshman has shown his qualities so far this season hitting the back of the net five times on loan at Championship side Wigan Athletic. He is also a bonus to Ipswich’s promotion hopes, having a taste of promotion with Sunderland via the Play-offs last season, although Town will hope it will be automatic this time around.
George Hirst also signed for the Tractor Boys two-days ago and this will provide Broadhead with healthy competition for a place in the forward line. The fact he can play on either side of a central man could guarantee more regular game time for the big-money signing.
Ipswich have invested heavily in recent seasons to ensure a swift as possible return to England’s second tier but so far they seem to just fall short at each attempt. The Tractor Boys will hope a big January boost will make sure they make it all the way this time.

In my opinion, Broadhead is a marquee signing and a warning to the teams who will face Ipswich in the run-in. His technical ability, the quality of his finishing and his pace will help him and his team succeed this season.
Overall, at first look Broadbent looks like an extremely good piece of Business by Town and their fans can only hope he plays at the peak of his incredible powers.
Ipswich fans, Are you happy to see Broadhead at your club?
