Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday are among the clubs monitoring 24-year-old Tayo Edun as per Lancs Live.
Three other League One clubs are also monitoring the left-sided player including MK Dons and Oxford United as well as an unnamed Portuguese club.
The Blackburn Rovers man has struggled to break into the squad consistently this season, making eight appearances for the Championship outfit so far this season. Most of the player’s starts have come in the Carabao Cup.
With Blackburn currently sitting third in the Championship and expected to be in the playoffs at the end of this season, Edun was loan listed earlier this month.
Edun already has League One experience having spent time with Lincoln City between 2019 and 2021 before departing for Ewood Park on deadline day in 2021 and would be a strong addition to the division.
A Key Player
He could be a key player wherever he ends up in the league, having made 44 appearances in the 20/21 season for the Imps, it could easily be seen the player drawn to Lincoln City once again, with the Imps also interested.
One club he would be likely to not see much playing time at is Sheffield Wednesday, given their high-flying run so far this season, however, they will be looking to increase their quality in this window to continue their promotion push in the second half of the campaign.
It is worth noting that Lancs Live add a move is not imminent at this stage of the window and discussions over an exit are to be ramped up in the middle of this month.
For now, Tayo will be looking ahead to this weekend’s cup clash with Norwich where he is expected to feature and could attract more potential suitors for his temporary signature.
Where is best for Tayo Edun? Could he moveĀ abroad instead of League One?
