‘Money talks’, ‘Makes sense’ – These fans react as Plymouth man linked with L2 switch

Plymouth Argyle could be set to lose Antoni Sarcevic to ambitious Salford City, as reported by Alan Nixon of The Sun.

Ambitious Salford settled well in League Two this season, but are thought to be wanting to ‘give it a go’ next time out, with the 28-year-old high on their list of targets. The Manchester-born midfielder has previously played for Crewe, Fleetwood and Shrewsbury in the north west, but is currently looking towards League One football with the Pilgrims, who bounced back at their first attempt.

However, Salford are one of the clubs likely to come out of the current crisis in good shape and that could leave them capable of outspending their opponents. A proposed salary cap might make things a little difficult, but they’re thought to be keen on tempting the former England C midfielder back to the north anyway.

Nixon said of The Ammies; “Salford. Going to have a go next season. Keen on Sarcevic from Plymouth. Contract up. Move back to north-west v playing in League One. Decisions decisions”

That has led Plymouth fans to pass comment on their outlook for next season. They’re set to return to the third tier at the first attempt under Ryan Lowe, who also earned promotion with Bury a year ago, but have yet to have the finer details finalised. Their retained list is not out yet and if it follows the lead of the likes of Bradford and Lincoln City, there could be some surprises.

These fans certainly have plenty to say on the subject.
