Ipswich Town fans have received a huge boost with the new Kane Vincent-Young is back on the grass training.
The club put out a social media post yesterday showing him in action on the training pitch, suggesting he’s closing in on a return. The 23-year-old has been out since October, but impressed during his nine starts for the club.
He was awarded the PFA Player of the Month in September and managed two goals in his nine League One outings. He played twice for Colchester at the beginning of the season, before sealing a move to Portman Road.
He had signed a new two year deal with the U’s last summer after spending an unsuccessful trial with Ipswich under their previous manager Paul Hurst. He then racked up over 100 senior appearances for John McGreal’s men after emerging through their successful academy following his 2014 release by Spurs.
Vincent-Young picked up his injury in a 3-1 victory against Southend, Sol Campbell’s first game in charge of the Shrimpers. He’s since had operations on his groin, so the sight of him back in training is a huge boost for the club, as these supporters made abundantly clear.
