Kane Vincent-Young has be awarded the PFA Player of the Month for September after his excellent displays for Ipswich Town.
The 23-year-old began his career with Spurs, but was released and wound up at Colchester United, where he appeared upwards of 100 times. He settled into his game with the U’s and signed a four-year deal with Ipswich over the summer.
Playing as a full back, Vincent-Young has shown attacking intent and chip in with a couple of goals. He’s the sort of player who gets fans on their feet, able to beat a man but never one to neglect his duty at the back.
He’s already been voted Player of the Month by his club, but to now lift the PFA award as well is big news for the youngster. He’s clearly impressing at Portman Road, both with his own fans and the wider football world.
Right now, his name is known to lower league fans but if he keeps up this sort of level he’ll surely be catching the eye of scouts further up the football pyramid. That’s the fear of one of the fans we’ve found who have replied to today’s announcement.
