Injury-hit League One leaders Ipswich Town fell to defeat in the league for the first time this season against a fired-up Accrington Stanley.
Town boss Paul Lambert was forced to juggle his line-up with the suspended James Wilson joined by injured trio Kane Vincent-Young, Flynn Downes and James Norwood on the sidelines and Accrington took full advantage to earn all three points through a Colby Bishop double.
Despite the disappointing 2-0 loss, Ipswich stay top of the table by one point with a game in hand on closest rivals Wycombe and host a decent Rotherham United side on Wednesday when they will be looking to get their promotion push back on track.
After the disappointment of last season’s relegation from the Championship, the Tractor Boys have once again got used to that winning feeling, so the fans reaction to the result on social media was reasonably balanced.
Indeed, the reason some supporters gave for the loss was the attendance of the Sky cameras; this was the fifteenth defeat on the bounce for Ipswich in a live televised game.
Here is a selection of responses to the result on Twitter.
Said it from start, line up looked poor with judge and dozzell and both lived up to it. Lambert got this very wrong

A lot of comments regarding players out. Posh won at gillingham yesterday with 3 players out. You have to do the same in future if you want to go up

from start to finish, back to front, team and manager it was awful but now we see if we have strong characters. Learnt today we dont have strength in depth but lets hope we have players back for Rotherham #coyb

There’s the bad day at the office. With 3 key players missing. We go again Wednesday #itfc #bluearmy

First loss this season. But still top with a game in hand & players still to come back frm injury. Onto Wednesday. Fair play to those who made the trip up there. Safe journey back 👍 #itfc
