Portsmouth are looking at a huge break until their next fixture, with this weekend’s clash against Southend called off due to international call ups.
With the fixture list originally containing Bury the week after, Kenny Jackett’s side are now without a match in a fortnight. They were prepared to play their fixture with Southend, until an injury to one of their remaining players convinced Jackett to call it off.
With a blank week or two, their social media team are having to work hard to keep up their presence, announcing that their CEO Mark Caitlin will be taking part in a Q&A later this week. They’ve asked for questions to be put to him, which is simply inviting trouble.
With Pompey down in 17th place in the table and likely to drop further without fixtures, their supporters have been quick to seize this opportunity to have a dig at Kenny Jackett and his style of football.
Still, at least one fan thinks the doom and gloom is unwarranted.
