Sheffield United defender Ben Heneghan has agreed to sign for Blackpool as reported by Football Insider.
The report claims a source at Bramall Lane has revealed the twenty-five-year-old is set to rejoin the Seasiders after agreeing on terms for a season-long loan.
Heneghan enjoyed an impressive loan spell at Bloomfield Road last season, making forty-nine appearances across all competitions. He is currently out of favour with Blades boss Chris Wilder, making only one FA Cup outing since joining from Motherwell in 2017.
Blackpool have enjoyed an excellent start to their League One campaign, taking ten points from their opening four games and with the report suggesting an announcement over the deal is imminent, it will be a further boost to their promotion hopes as manager Simon Grayson looks to build on their excellent start to the campaign.
Grayson takes his team to Rochdale at the weekend, but the report does not make clear whether the deal will go through in time for Heneghan to be involved.
